The morning weather is beautiful. Yumi is playing with her puppy and having a lot of fun. Soon, her grandparents tell her it’s time to get ready for school. They help her take a shower and then take her to the shuttle. Grandmother reminds her to behave herself. Yumi waves goodbye.
She arrives at school at 9:00 a.m. “Good morning, Monday,” the teacher says. “You are so cute today,” she adds, and Yumi smiles. Yumi loves coming to school. Her teacher is kind, and she enjoys playing with her friends.
Several hours pass, and soon it is time to go home. The teacher tells the students, “Good luck,” and walks them to the shuttle. “See you again tomorrow,” she says as the children wave goodbye.
When Yumi arrives home, her puppy runs to her immediately. He is so cute. Yumi loves him very much. His name is Kodomo. He has brown fur and black eyes, and he is very playful.
Tuesday Morning
Grandparents ask Yumi, “What would you like to have for dinner?” Yumi replies, “I would like a big cake for dinner today.”
At school, Yumi plays peekaboo with her friends. She tells them excitedly that her grandparents will make a big cake in the evening. She talks about it all day.
After school, Yumi arrives home — but she becomes sad and starts to cry. Her grandparents forgot to make the big cake. They are startled and quickly apologize.
“Oh! Sorry, I forgot,” Grandmother says. She apologizes again.
Yumi stops crying. She loves her grandparents, and they love her. She hugs them tightly, and everything feels warm again.
