My memory is still asleep

Original

October 3, 2026

I have a funny story to tell you. It just happened earlier this morning. I asked my husband if he wanted to drive to the Asian store to get food as I told him last night but I forgot the store named at that moment. He said, he will go to the bank in that direction then ok. After that, I walked up stairs and headed to my computer's room to look at the store name and before I entered the room, my brain gave me the name. haha I turned and walked downstairs passed the wall and steped there. It is only four steps lelt to the ground. I told my husband who was still sitting at his computer's desk by the sliding door that could see the deck and the green yard. "it is Panda Express". haha

This morning, I asked my husband if he wanted to drive to the Asian store to get some food, just as I had mentioned the night before. The problem was that I couldn't remember the name of the store at that moment.

He said he was planning to go to the bank in that direction anyway, so that was fine.

After that, I walked upstairs toward my computer room to look up the store's name. Just before I entered the room, my brain suddenly remembered it.

I laughed, turned around, and started walking downstairs. When I reached the point where there were only four steps left to the ground floor, I called out to my husband. He was still sitting at his computer desk near the sliding glass door, looking out at the deck and the green backyard.

"It is Panda Express!" I shouted.

The funny part was that I had walked all the way upstairs to use the computer, but my brain remembered the answer before I even got to the room.

Sometimes our brains work in mysterious ways!

Notes on the improvements

Grammar

  • Corrected verb tenses and article usage.
  • Added natural transitions between events.

Clarity

  • Explained the sequence of events more clearly.
  • Specified who was doing what at each moment.

I have a funny story to tell you. It happened earlier this morning.

I asked my husband if he wanted to drive to the Asian store to get some food, just like I had mentioned the night before. However, when I brought it up, I couldn't remember the store's name. He said he was already planning to go to the bank in that direction, so that was fine.

After that, I walked upstairs toward my computer room to look up the store's name. Before I even entered the room, my brain suddenly came up with it. Haha!

I immediately turned around and walked back downstairs. When I reached the landing, there were only four steps left before I got to the ground floor. From there, I called out to my husband, who was still sitting at his computer desk near the sliding door overlooking the deck and our green backyard.

"It's Panda Express!" I shouted.

Haha!
