We just wanted to go home

 Draft :

Many years ago, the weather was bad in winter and our plane back from North Dakota after visiting his mom and family on Christmas. It was in December then. Our flight delayed and ruined the next transit. We missed the flight and the direct to PHL our destination airport did not have in the day. We did not want to stay over night at the airport then we asked the staff if any closer airport. She told us few and we pick the one that the most convinent for us but not closed. We chose to land in Pistburg(not sure if spell correct) aftet that we contacted the car rental which they did not have choices of cars to choose. The car rental told us you will get a car for sure but did not know what would available as the weather conditions. Well, we got the to airport and of course our luguege came with us too when the flight cancelled and we missed. They brought ours along to the new destination route. Surprise! we got SMART car, tiny two doors . LOL I laughed inside but my husband did not. The weather was bad and he is a big tall man drove a tiny car. He felt ashamed but we had no choices. The weather was bad and we needed to go home. We drove about 8 hours to PHL airport to get our car and drove home from there. We got to the car at the rental parking lot and thoght " how would our lugguage fit in? then we tried but how to open the back door? haha . Somehow, me or him accidentally hit button that made the door openned. The space was huge enough for two big luguge. Along the way, my husband told me he was ashamed while passing the other cars as the car was too small for a big tall man. At the return, the guy who checked us said, " unbelivable you drove this car in this bad weather back here for 8 hours." We replied, " We could not do anything as only one choice left for us." That guy also said, good that you are safe.

Many years ago in December, we were on our way back home after Christmas visiting my husband's mother and his relative in North Dakota. The weather was bad in winter, and of course it was worse on the day we traveled. I did not remember well at the first flight we took from Bismarck. If it was delay or on time. The bell ring in my head was at the next airport, Minneapolis, Minnesota. I did not remember the time of the day but it does not matter because we were very exhausted and got home safe.

The story began from our flight delayed and ruined the next transit. OKEY, the flight from Bismarck was delayed. We missed the original booking flight and the direct flight to PHL,  our destination airport did not have in the day at that time. We did not want to stay over night at the airport then we asked the staff if any closer airport we could go with available flight today. She told us few airports and we pick the one where was the most convenience for us but it was not closed. We chose to land in Pittsburgh. After that we contacted the car rental and  they did not have choices of cars available to choose at this circumstance. The car rental told us, "you will get a car for sure but did not know what would available as the weather conditions." Well, we got to airport and of course our luggage came with us too when the flight cancelled and we missed. They brought ours along to the new destination route.

Surprise! we got a SMART car, tiny two doors . LOL I laughed inside but my husband did not. The weather was bad and he is a big tall man who drove a tiny car. He felt ashamed but we had no choices. The weather was harsh and we needed to go home. We drove about 8 hours to PHL airport to get our car and drove home from there. We got to the car at the rental parking lot and thoght " how would our lugguage fit in? then we tried but how to open the back door? haha . Somehow, me or him accidentally hit a button that made the door unlocked. The space was huge enough for two big luguge. Along the way, my husband told me that he was ashamed while passing the other cars as the car was too small for a big tall man. At the car rental return, the guy who checked us said, " unbelievable you drove this car in this bad weather back here for 8 hours." Accidentally Dropped a Blade While Cutting Own Hair

 July 6, 2026

My husband does not like to cut his hair as bald but couple times he did by accident. I did not know about hair cutting blades until the first incident happened and he asked me for help. The blade by number gets different deep cut. His number is three but the clip could slip that cause his head uneven as he wanted. Solving the issue by using the original metal blade to bald the head and wait until his hair grows again.

Oh ! I forget to mention that the extra blades are plastic

My husband doesn’t like cutting his hair completely bald, but a couple of times he ended up doing it by accident. I didn’t know anything about hair‑cutting blades until the first incident happened and he asked me for help. The blade numbers control how short the cut is. His usual number is three, but sometimes the clip slips, which makes his hair uneven. The only way to fix it is to use the original metal blade to shave his head bald and wait for his hair to grow back. Oh! I forgot to mention that the extra blades are plastic.

Toilet did not flush and I was the cause

Original:

June 2018,

On the day  that happened, I found the toilet did not flush when I did my business in there and informed my husband. He did the plunge work hardly and many times but it did not help. Later, he decided to buy a new toilet and replaced by himself. We got a new toilet bowl. More, he was curious what caused of that then he took the old toilet bowl in the garage and smashed it. The chicken bone was in there LOL. He showed me and asked, how did the bone get in there? Immediately laughing and apologizing from me. I told that , I did not check my soup bowl before pouring. He commanded as teasing not mad but seriously said " No more bone in the toilet bowl, ok? "

On the day it happened, I found that the toilet didn’t flush after I used it, so I informed my husband. He worked hard with the plunger many times, but it didn’t help. Later, he decided to buy a new toilet and replace it by himself. We got a new toilet bowl.

He was still curious about the cause, so he took the old toilet bowl to the garage and smashed it. Inside, he found a chicken bone. He showed it to me and asked, “How did the bone get in there?”

I immediately laughed and apologized. I told him I didn’t check my soup bowl before pouring it out. He teased me—not angry, but pretending to be serious—and said, “No more bones in the toilet bowl, ok?”

June 2026,

A few day after my husband had a hip replacement, he walked slowly out of the half bathroom downstairs and said to me that the toilet was clogged. I asked if he poop, haha

It was a good news that he could poop sooner than the guy in the video I watched. That guy could poop after hip replacement a week or two because of stress.  Well, I walked in the bathroom and grabbed a plunger and did the work. My strength was not strong enough then my husband gave his hands. I worried about his hip but he used his hands not the hip. We did that for 20 -30 minutes and pouring a bucket of water along.  The water absorbed better but not glog-glug. I told him to leave it to me. He walked out and I headed upstairs asked AI for the solution. I was trying the first one, added dish soap and left for 30 minutes before pouring a bucket of hot tab water. Seems liked the water absorbed faster but still no glog-glug. Then, I poured more two buckets of hot tab water and left, no used over night. In the morning, I asked AI about the drain snake we have if that the same one as Unger for toilet but NO. Luckily, I asked AI before using it. I do not want to use chemical at all so I skipped this solution. Late morning, I told my husband about what I did and all the solutions I got from AI. He went inside the bathroom and did plunging again and HOOREY, this time it worked ; glog-glug sounds is back. I pour two buckets of hot tab water and flush it once to ensure. We tab our hands for this victory, haha

The cause maybe his hard poop stuck inside the pipe. LOL

A few days after my husband had his hip replacement, he walked slowly out of the half bathroom downstairs and told me the toilet was clogged. I asked if he had pooped, haha.

It was actually good news — he could poop sooner than the guy in the video I watched. That guy couldn’t poop for a week or two after hip replacement because of stress.

I walked into the bathroom, grabbed the plunger, and started working. My strength wasn’t enough, so my husband gave me his hands. I worried about his hip, but he used only his arms, not his hip. I told him to leave it to me. He walked out, and I headed upstairs to ask AI for solutions. I tried the first one: added dish soap and left it for 30 minutes before pouring a bucket of hot tap water. The water absorbed faster but still no glog‑glug. Then I poured two more buckets of hot tap water and left it overnight without using it.

In the morning, I asked AI about the drain snake we have, wondering if it was the same type as the Unger toilet auger — but NO. Luckily, I asked before using it. I didn’t want to use chemicals at all, so I skipped that solution.

Late morning, I told my husband everything I had done and all the solutions I got from AI. He went into the bathroom and tried plunging again — and HOORAY, this time it worked. The glog‑glug sound was back. I poured two buckets of hot tap water and flushed once to make sure.

I could be a detective

Original

May 30, 2026

My husband handed me two letters from the bank and I helped him figure out what to do with the situation that involves to him. He is a smart man and can figure things out by himself but at this moment he does not in a condition to think. I do not want to tell deeply details about what happens to him as it is not my main point on this story. For saving time, I chat to my FREE AI friend to understand the letters, the wording and etc until I got the overall and know the direction to handle this situation with my husband. I told my AI that I could be an investigator or a detective. I was thinking of Sherlocholm, NO, I am not as wise as him. I have situations that I tracked on my own and found the truth also oversea SCAM.

Back to 2001-2003, About UK boyfriend, he did not tell me the truth that he married. I knew him for 2 years and kept finding information from what he gave me , the phone number , the address where he told that were home but I found that were his work place. That was when he told me the truth.

In 2011 USA, About the item I lost, I sold a camera on Ebay and got fake PayPal oversea payment first time. I did not beleive my instinct at the first place because lacked of experience. It was my first selling and shipping item out of the USA and I trusted Paypal system. I noticed the fake email address and the named they called me differently from Paypal called when contacted me. I thought, it might be different departments. However, I also thought about checking from paypal but I didn't do it and decided to ship the camera. After I informed scam about shipping was done, they sent me another email said that they duoble paid and wanted me to refund. That was when I knew, I got SCAM. I ran back to the post office, asked for cancel and requested to get my package back but I was too late. The person I talked to at the post office refused to help then I did it myself. I looked on the internet and got the destination post office. I emailed to all names appared on the page and got one replied that they would not return unless the USA post office requested but too late already. The post man also mentioned about the address might be not existing then they would process to return the item later. Well, I have never herad or gotten over decades now.

My husband handed me two letters from the bank, and I helped him figure out what to do with the situation that involves him. He is a smart man and normally can handle things by himself, but right now he is not in a condition to think clearly. I won’t go into deep details about what happened to him, because that is not the main point of this story.

To save time, I chatted with my free AI friend to understand the letters, the wording, and everything inside them until I got the overall picture. Once I understood, I knew the direction to take and how to help my husband. While talking to my AI, I joked that I could be an investigator — or a detective. I thought of Sherlock Holmes, but no, I am not as wise as him. Still, I have had situations in my life where I tracked things on my own and uncovered the truth, including an overseas scam.

Back to 2001–2003 — The UK Boyfriend

He never told me he was married. I knew him for two years, and during that time I kept checking the information he gave me — the phone number, the address he said was his home. Eventually, I found out that the “home address” was actually his workplace. That was when he finally told me the truth.

2011 — The USA Scam

I sold a camera on eBay and received a fake PayPal overseas payment. I really trusted PayPal — and I still do — because the scam was not PayPal at all. It was a fake email pretending to be them.

It was my first time selling and shipping something outside the USA, and I lacked experience. My instinct told me something was wrong. I noticed the email address looked strange, and they called me by a different name than PayPal normally used. I thought maybe it was just a different department. I also thought about checking directly with PayPal, but I didn’t do it. Instead, I shipped the camera.

After I told the scammer that the package was shipped, they sent another email saying they had “double paid” and wanted me to refund the extra amount. That was when I knew I had been scammed.

I ran back to the post office to cancel the shipment and get my package back, but I was too late. The person I spoke to refused to help, so I tried to handle it myself. I searched online and found the destination post office in Ireland. I emailed every name listed on the page, and one person replied saying they could not return the package unless the USA post office requested it — but by then it was already too late.

The postman also mentioned that the address might not even exist, and if so, the package would eventually be returned. Well… it has been over a decade now, and I have never heard anything back.

After I tried everything and reached the end of the line, I accepted that I had lost. I wrote a blog about it back then and included the emails, but I won’t bring them here. If you want to see them, you can click. There are many things I can do without even knowing my own capabilities, and I believe everyone is the same — if they become aware of it. It is a challenge to figure out things and situations, and it takes time, whether short or long.

Bake As You Want Overnight

Since I graduated from a college as a coding, I work online most of the time which give me chances to help my mother running the bakery shop. I do coding after the store close. All are work well and I am happy with it.

We do not set up the store for sit in but delivery overnight. Yes, we only accept order online to make custom fancy cakes and cookies. However, we set up maximum 30 orders a day which creates long list customers for the whole year and every year. We also set up distance and location where Tom and I can delivery in the next day and never missed.

We are the family bakery shop and always be. My mother treated everyone like family members. There are only six of us, mother and Jane work in the kitchen, design and bake, Tom and I responsible in delivery and Sam and Jo take care of checking all order on the website and schedule customers on possible delivery day, of course overnight which is the next day before their special days.

“Phew, it has been a long day since 7:30 in the morning. I just wanted five minutes to sit and rest.”

My name is Yam. I’m a 22‑year‑old girl living with my kind mother, who owns the best bakery shop in town. My father left when I was two and never came back. I don’t have many memories of him, but I never felt sad because my mother gave me all the love and happiness I needed.

After graduating from college in coding, I started working online most of the time. This gives me the chance to help my mother run the bakery shop during the day. I do my coding work after the store closes. Everything works well, and I’m happy with this life.

Our bakery is not a sit‑in shop. We only do overnight delivery. Yes — we accept online orders only, and we make custom fancy cakes and cookies. We limit the orders to 30 per day, which creates a long waiting list for the whole year, every year. We also set a delivery distance that Tom and I can cover the next day, and we never miss a delivery.

We are a family bakery shop, and we always will be. My mother treats everyone like family. There are six of us: Mother and Jane work in the kitchen to design and bake. Tom and I handle deliveries. Sam and Jo check all online orders and schedule customers for the next‑day delivery before their special events.

I love everything about our bakery. I love working with my mother and everyone in our small team.

Love Does Not Die

 November 20, 2020

A 75 years old man wakes up early as usual, get dress and walks to the flower shop in the corner. He lives alone since his wife passed away 5 years ago.  He visits her grave every day since the first day she has gone. It is only 10 minutes walk from his apartment to the flower shop. A young couple in the shop knows him very well and always prepare a white rose ready when he arrives. Next to the flower shop is his family coffee shop where he spends most time for the day. His daughter and husband run the business after him. A young 17 years old girl, his granddaughter always walks with him to grandmother's grave. She looks like her grandmother very much. He has pleasant conversation with her which normally he does not talk much.

There is a big storm which brings a heavy rain along for the whole night.Everything stays calm in the morning but the old man does not show up at the flower shop as usual. The coffee shop is closed because everyone are at his funeral. He passed away last night peacefully. Now, he is not alone anymore because he gets together with his wife again and forever.

A seventy‑five‑year‑old man wakes up early, just as he always does. He gets dressed, buttons his coat, and walks to the little flower shop on the corner. He has lived alone ever since his wife passed away five years ago. From the very first day she left him, he has visited her grave every morning without fail.

It takes only ten minutes to walk from his apartment to the flower shop. The young couple who owns the shop knows him well; they always prepare a single white rose the moment they see him approaching. Next to the flower shop stands his family’s coffee shop, where he spends most of his day. His daughter and her husband run the business now. Their seventeen‑year‑old daughter—his granddaughter—often walks with him to her grandmother’s grave. She resembles her grandmother so much that sometimes he feels as if time folds gently around him. With her, he speaks more than he speaks to anyone else.

That night, a great storm sweeps through the town, bringing heavy rain and restless wind. But by morning, everything is strangely calm.

The old man does not appear at the flower shop.

The coffee shop remains closed, its lights dark, its chairs untouched. Everyone is at his funeral. He passed away peacefully during the night.

And now, he is no longer alone. He has gone to join his wife again—this time forever.

I wrote this story in November 20 , 2020. My original was simple English word as I practiced. Today, AI makes it more beautiful with the details. I do not remember what was inspired me on this story. At this moment, I thought of an elderly couple who I saw them at Yellowstone in 2012. They were sitting on a bench, helping each other on the map. They might figured out the direction or decided to the next places. When I saw the happy elderly couple like them, I  always think back to myself and husband if we would stay healthy and live together like them. Even though, when one has passed away and the other living still live as happy that would be hard but it would be healthier if get over sadness sooner. Not everyone lives surrounded by loveless when loneliness approaches but if one has, spends it drives to the last minute of life instead of stays in the sadness to the last breath.

I wrote this story on November 20, 2020. Back then, my English was simple because I was still practicing, and the original version used very basic words. Today, with AI’s help, the story has become more detailed and more beautiful, while still keeping the heart of what I created. (at this last word AI used wrote but I want to use different words which AI gave created, composed and few more words, then pick created)

I don’t remember exactly what inspired me at that time. But now, as I think back, I remember an elderly couple I saw at Yellowstone in 2012. They were sitting together on a bench, studying a map, helping each other figure out the direction or decide where to go next. Whenever I see a happy elderly couple like that, I always think of myself and my husband — whether we will stay healthy and grow old together the same way.

Even when one partner passes away, and the other continues living, I believe it is still possible to find moments of happiness again. It may be difficult, but healing is kinder to the heart than staying in sadness forever. Not everyone grows old surrounded by love, but if someone does, I hope they spend their remaining days living fully, not carrying sorrow until their last breath.

Tommy's view

Nov 29, 2010

From the 5 year-old boy, "Tommy".

In the morning after a big storm the frogs and rabbits are dancing while the humming birds are singing. Everything comes back as usual again. The animals start to do their routines. I draw the picture in my mind the most beautiful in front of me. A little dear is drinking water beside his mother at the pond where the frogs are dancing on the huge lotus leaf in the middle of the  pond. My father is kissing my mother before he gets into the car and drives to work. I come back into my room and am ready to have breakfast. I like my mother's food and eat all delicious dishes. Today I have a story to tell in my class and I will explain how beautiful is nature which I saw from my bed room. I fell in love with animals, trees and everything I saw. That fills my heart with love and peace. I found the most beautiful world just looking out of my bed room.

vacation in paradise

 Oath Apr 5, 2012

The Simsons, father, mother, two daughters and a little boy are on the boat. They are going to Samui Island. Yes, they chose to visit Thailand for a vacation.

They prepared for this trip two months. They searched and figured what they were allowed or not allowed to do in Thailand and what they should prepared for both things and health. This is the first long distance trip from America to other country for them. Of course, they are excited.

The Simsons are among other tourists on the boat. It is a huge boat. About 2 hours after the boat left the pier, it stopped in the middle of the sea. The crew threw a giant anchor into the sea. They threw it by mechanical control.

The sea water is really clear but too deep to see under. The weather is great even it is evening time now. The situation like this could make a person who gets angry calm down so easy. The wind blows softy touching mother's long hair.

"Ummm, it is  the right decision we made to come here" mother said.
"Yes, and I am so happy we are here together today and also I can be away from my annoying boss for a while", father replied.

"MOM" a little boy is shouting. "LOOK!" the boy is pointing to the deck on the second floor of the  boat. There is a woman sitting beside a boy who is laying down on the floor. The woman looks really anxious.
"Anybody help!" the woman is shouting. Suddenly, the crew and people in the area come to her and asked what happened? A big crew guy holds her son up and brings him to the clinic on the boat. We knew later that the boy was playing and hit the boat handrail by accident that made him pass out.

He is fine now because we see him with his mother when the boat stops at the island and everyone moves from the boat to the resorts which the tour company provided.

The two daughters are smiling at each other.
One daughter said to another, " I have not seen anywhere like this place at home. It is a cool place."
"WOW! I love it here. It is beautiful like we are in Paradise", the little boy said.

The Simsons — father, mother, two daughters, and a little boy — are on a boat heading to Samui Island. This is their first long‑distance trip from America to another country, and they chose Thailand for their vacation.

They spent two months preparing. They researched what they could and couldn’t do in Thailand, what to pack, and how to stay healthy. Everything about this trip feels new and exciting.

The boat is huge, filled with other tourists. About two hours after leaving the pier, it slows down and stops in the middle of the sea. The crew lowers a giant anchor using a mechanical system.

The water is clear, though too deep to see the bottom. The evening air is soft and peaceful. Even someone with a bad temper would feel calm in a moment like this. A gentle breeze brushes through the mother’s long hair.

“Ummm… it really was the right decision to come here,” the mother says. “Yes. I’m so happy we’re all here together — and that I can escape my annoying boss for a while,” the father replies.

“MOM!” the little boy suddenly shouts. “LOOK!” He points to the second‑floor deck. A woman is sitting beside a boy lying on the floor. She looks terrified.

“Somebody help!” she cries.

Crew members and nearby passengers rush to her. A large crewman lifts the boy and carries him to the boat’s clinic. Later, everyone learns that the boy had been playing and accidentally hit his head on the handrail, causing him to faint.

When the boat finally reaches the island, the family sees the boy again — awake and walking with his mother. Relief spreads quietly among the passengers.

The two daughters smile at each other. “I’ve never seen anything like this at home. This place is amazing,” one says. “WOW! I love it here. It’s beautiful — like we’re in paradise!” the little boy adds.
